El Paso Tools Spring Compressor?

I noticed a recurring auction on ebay for a spring compressor set that looks like the Klann set, but for about a third of the price. Here is a link to an auction that ended the other day. The seller seems to have this item up for auction from time to time, so I was wondering whether I should bid.

Anybody know anything about the El Paso Tool set?

Well, it looks like somebody has to just give them a try.

If they work out, you save $400.!

Let us know.

I've probably got to get one for the SDL soon.

I ran into a fellow MB diesel owner and he said he used the spring compressor from NAPA to do his front end work.

Cost him all of $60. He showed it to me. It looked pretty well built. The hooks that grab on the springs was pretty long, I ,mean about 1 inch over the spring lip. I have seen one at harbor freight and the hook sits on the spring lip.

Anyone seen the NAPA spring compressor?
