I moved the location to Edgewater which is still very close to Weehawken, NJ

Schedule :
9:00AM to 12:30PM - Gather up and talk about the cars while sipping on Starbucks coffee. Please try to come early.
12:30PM to --- LUNCH and go from there.

What to bring :
1. Your MB
2. Digital Camera or similar
3. Lunch Money

The parking lot is rather large so we shouldn't have any problems.

We'd like to try and line up by chassis (210,163,etc.) to make for some good camera shots.

I've never organized a meet before so any help would be appreciated.

Wow yeah I would say it is going to be a big meet, to bad more members here are not showing interest. Come on we need to have a Mercedesshop area

I'll be thier if I can get out of work, I won't know until Saturday night though. But I would say I am 80% their, I might be able to talk Joe into coming down with his E300D, or maybe the S600.

So how was the meet? Wish I could've been there to show off my latest purchase to folks in the know. I got a super nice '85 td for little $. Let me know a little sooner for the next meet.....

For me, the meet was not so great. I was excited about talking with some diesel owners and the parking lot turned out to be full of new M-class SUVs and fancy-shmancy coupes with expensive rims and tires. There was probably 3 dozen cars, all told, and I was one of two people there with a 300D (the other owner was nowhere to be found, so maybe he was just shopping at that mall). I took a look around and decided it wasn't for me as the people there were in their 20's - 30's and seemed mostly interested in how slick their cars were. This is - again - only my opinion but I find the M-class to be ugly and boring vehicles and I'm not terribly interested in new Benzes - so I got out of there fast. Or as fast as a 300D will go.

I did see one 124 and one 126 body diesel but - again - no one was in or around those cars so I couldn't even start a conversation. Jeez, I didn't even get any Starbucks coffee!

I would dearly love to see some kind of diesel/greasecar event come together in our part of the world. There MUST be enough folks around who can come out to such a gathering...

DieselFitter you missed out on a good time, the W124 was a 1995 E300D the owner really new his stuff a real cool guy. And the W126 was mine. Those guys were a different crowd but were still cool. I didn't even see your 300D? Their was one with a bad front bumper that I think the guy went shopping. Talking diesel is fun but sometimes I enjoy talking about mods on AMG's and fixing V12's. I didn't even look at an ML, their were also a some nice W124's and W210's their.
