Question New Bosch Injectors 603 ???

I think I want to buy new injectors because both sets I have are between 190K and 223K respectively.

Both sets have been cleaned only, not rebalanced, not mixed parts, and labeled from each cylinder and returned to each yet some still nail, and a few are beginning to nail.

I priced new nozzles and the price is only 15 bucks or so less than a complete new Bosch injector.

I got a price of $43.49 ea.

Question:

1. Am I buying Bosch rebuilds, or are they really new?

2. Are they going to say "India" on them instead of Germany?

3. Are there only two shim sizes available (1.60mm / 1.85mm) for balancing?

4. Explore another alternative?????

I don't know if so soon after a group buy there would ever be enough interest to do it again, but if so, I would like to buy six for my 603. I'll follow along with this post and see what you find.

1) For $44? They're rebuilds. New are over $100 each.

2) No clue. Probably originally mfr'd in Germany, but rebuilt in India.

3) There are approximately a bazillion different shim thicknesses. (OK, about 30 I think.) They're not cheap, buying an assortment to do your own balancing is pricey.

4) Get a pop tester and start collecting used ones from Pick-n-Pull, and rebuild your own??
