I am still in the process of removing my Datgum tranny off of my 84 300DT.
I realized what the speedo cable that I needed to remove was finally because the tranny would not come all the way off. The speedo cable is the cable connected from the throtle levers that rest on top of the engine to the speedo piston that puts the vehicle into low gear when you start the car. The purpose is to keep the car in low gear for higher torque/acceleration when you slam the pedal to pass someone.
Question:
How do I remove the speedo cable?
