Am trying to find out where the vacuum reservoir tank or tanks are on a 126 chassis 300SD 1984. I know the 123s have them under the rear package shelf but this does not appear to be the case on a 126
Thanks
Greg

The 126 don't have them.

I have a 1982 300SD and there is a reservoir tank underneath the left front fender, accessible through the wheel well.

I must apologize. There is a vacuum tank for the climate control system in the left front wheel well. There is not one for the central locking system.

If there isn't a vacuum reserve tank for the door locks, how would they work after engine is shut off? The one inside the fender is probably for the door locks since you don't need one for the AC system after engine is off.

I learn something new (electric vacuum pump) all the time reading these boards. Sounds like a good fix for the vacuum locks that only work about 5 times on my 116 and then the engine must be restarted to get vacuum so the locks work again.
