more stuff

Disconnected the brake power booster vacuum line, plug and retest with the car running. Seems like a firm pedal....just like the car was not running. Same as the 300se. The 300se brake pedal is firm and travels just past the gas pedal.
Drove the car, will not stop unless you pump up the pedal. then it continues to the floor.?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Not sure if this will help but on my 1983 300SD I had the same problem until I saw that the Master Cylinder had TWO resivours in it. I had to keep pouring fluid in until the front was overflowing into the back one. Dennis

Leaving it on the railroad track is not an option. LOL
Please excuse my sense of humor.

Going back.
You did bleed the master cylinder, ABS motor and all four calipers during your last bleed?

If this is true?
The ABS relief valve is mechanically stuck open or you have a bad master cylinder.

Gad, whish you where close to me, I would come over and help in person.
There is a gremlin loose in your system.

Is there another forum member close to you that could help?

Abs

How do you check the ABS relief valve??
Going to plug up the master right now and stomp on it!

(The ABS relief valve is mechanically stuck open or you have a bad master cylinder.)

Just a WAG here... does your car happen to have ASR? If so, there is a special bleeding procedure for that unit. (I forget if any W126 had this, but it was optional on the W124 and W140.)

When you get the car stopped, and get a decent pedal, and hold it down... does the pedal sink? If so, there is a LEAK somewhere, or the MC is bad.

If you have to pump it up, stop the car, and when you hold the pedal down it remains firm... you have air somewhere in the system. Try up to 30psi in the pressure bleeder, btw. I'm pretty sure MB specs 25-30psi for pressure bleeding. 20psi may not be enough. There is also a spec in the manual for the amount of fluid to capture at each wheel, but I forget offhand how much that is. I like to push at least 100 or 200 mL through, just to make sure I flushed out the old junk.

Thanks Dave
The pedal will pump up with 3 hits.
Then it will go down again if you hold it.
I was looking for some brass plugs to plug up the master and then start the car and push down.
If the pedal is firm then the MC is OK.
Then I can look elsewhere.
The car is equiped with ABS.
2 lines in, 3 lines out. One for the rear one for each front.
I did disconect the electronics from the ABS and power bled the system with the ABS pump on.
Nothing seem to work.
Ill have a better idea tomorrow
_Anthony
