No heat in 300SD

My 116 300SD is not currently blowing hot air. last year i replaced the servo with a used one, and this one isn't leaking, and i don't see why it shouldn't work. Is there a way to test the amp under the passenger-side of the dash? What about the push-button unit? All the correct vents work and the compressor comes on with defrost or A/C on. When I had the wheel to 85 degrees, it blew cold outside air through all the dash vents, so could this whole problem be related to the dash temp sensor? Please let me know of any suggestions you guys might have.
Thanks
David

Try turning it all the way up til the wheel clicks. This should select full heat, floor vents.

If you still get the wrong vents selected, it's the pushbutton unit for sure, otherwise, you need a new amplifier. Usually it gets toasted when the servo goes bad.

The 116 doesn't have the click feature like the 124's and the 126's. It goes all the way up and all the way down, but doesn't click, unless mine's never worked correctly. The heat worked fine this moring to take my dad to work. (His 300E's getting the rear camber fixed and b/joints.)
Thanks
David

Maybe your Auxiliary water pump right there on the fender under your Servo isn't working, I had nearly no heat when mine failed.

Just because it isn't leaking doesn't mean it should work, the servo mechanism inside could be shot and burned out. Point of note, a frozen servo WILL smoke a amp assy, and a burned amp CAN smoke a new servo.
