Stanadyne

Any one been running Stanadyne Performance Formula in the diesel cars?
I'm hearing of many people in this area switching from other additives to this product. Claim smoother warm ups and less smoking after starting.
Local Dieselshop gives this really high marks, BUT, they also sell it.

I add a little to every tank fill up. Been happy with it.

I had a local diesel shop sell me the stuff too, saying that many of their customers loved it. I figured it was worth a try.

I used it regularly in the past when I owned a chevy van with a 6.5 diesel. Stanadyne was the pump manufacturer for the 6.5. I frequented a website for 6.5 users and many of the people there swore by it. I am currently using the balance of my case on my Jetta and 300D. I think it is good, but in the dead of winter I noticed it would thicken up in the bottle - I stored it in my garage. That concerned me about using it in the winter even though it claimed it would reduce gel point temperature. Try it out and see what you think.

I use 4 oz. per fill up in my Jetta and in my Benz. Maybe it's just psychological but I like to think I'm helping the injection pump live a happy life.

FWIW-Here in Austin, Central Texas Diesel Injection Service recommends Stanadyne Perfomance Additive, or Stanadyne Lubricity Additive to compensate for the lost lubricity from LSDF.

Question for Hockeynut:
You running the All Season Performance formula or the Diesel fuel conditioner winter 1000? I'm going to switch from what I currently use for 6 months and see what I think. Can't hurt, maybe be better than PS. I'm a hard sell, been using PS for years but my MB dosen't seem to be responding to it very well, so I'll switch one ride and see. Seems like the higher the price for Diesel, (Which is a BIG rip off) the poorer the fuel seems to be.

Thanks
