I'd do it, because I already did. I got a running '78 300D in wretched shape, and a near-pristine 240D without an engine or interior for $600. One year later and another $2000 or so I have a 240D in excellent condition with a turbo engine.

oooooooo Multiple projects.......not good. But thats a great price for two cars that will make one great one.

Get the land rover done......2 projects appear to be 4 times the work one is and cost 8 times as much.

Or at least it seems like it.

A rare but powerful flash of intelligence overcame my desire to pursue the project. I best get my rover finished and space cleared prior to pursuit of the next project....Rob M Concord, MA
