This is my suggestion...

I had a similar fight. On my brand new c32 the door seal keep leaking. I had to return the car to the dealer four times to fix it. The last time when I drove the car off the dealer lot, bame I hit a hugh pot hole. Broke the front strut and bent the rim. I turned around and took the car back to the dealer and explained that if they had gotten right the first three times, I wouldn't be in this situation. The dealer coverred the strut has a warrenty item. The bent wheel and busted tire I coverred.

This was when I was lived in Boston, and the dealer was located in Somerville. The dealer also explained to me that the city may pay for replacing my wheel and tire. I wrote the city and took pictures of the pot hole and sent them in...Sure enough I got a check to cover the damage for the wheel and tire. Which seemed like an odd policy since fixing the pot hole would have been much cheaper for the city....

And Benzy saves the day! I like the way you think, even if you are insane.

Do ya think they might have done this to others? The tech may have known over the next bump are potholes which can't be avoided. They might do that kind of stuff to someone who, in their opinon, is a PIA. Then go back to the shop to laugh about it.

Not knocking anyone here, just a thought.....

Cheers,

Bill
