Just drove a '74 240D 4-speed...

I am in love, again. Then again, I fall in love with just about every MB diesel that I drive including the not so nice ones.

This little 240D is for sale here locally. It has some minor, minor rust, easily repairable, the A/C just recently stopped working. It's paint is faded and weak on the corners and such but she purrs so beautifully. I wonder if $1500 is too much for this little jewel? She is as straight as an arrow and solid on the road. No rattles or squeaks. Handles somewhat flawlessly for a 30 year old car.

If anyone is interested in the car then let me know. I am in the upstate of South Carolina. The car is not too far from Clemson University.

What's the mileage on it? Any idea if it's the blower or the air that's not working?

I paid $1500 for my purrfect '75 W115, but then I'm perpetually afraid of being arrested for stealing it too. Rust kills 115 chassis vehicles; much rust, low$$$. Look carefully at the spring lands in the trailing arms and where the arms attach to the subframe. Pay accordingly for your car.

IMHO, the 115 is a far more comfortable car than the 123. I love mine.

YOU DON'T HAVE A 115, your Daughter does....

Are you taking the 115 back from your daughter ?
