After Market CD Player

Hey Guys,
I want to install a Sony detachable face CD player and a 10 disk changer in the truck of my83 300D. If anyone else has installed a CD changer in the truck can you recommend how to run the cables back? Did you run them under the carpet?
Thanks.
Rene

YES
While I didn't do the installation, (the stereo was already in my '84 300D) I have seen that these cables are run under the carpet. My car has a 50A circuit breaker on a heavy gauge cable to the trunk. This cable feeds the Amplifier & CD Stacker and also a 12V feed to the towing hitch (for a caravan fridge & lights.)
