Our family has just purchased a 1988 W124 300D and my two girls have decided that the car's new name will be "Bernard"

No....I have idea why....but I have to laugh, as there is always a mad rush to be the first out the door in the morning to see who gets to sit in "Bernards" front seat.

The neighbours must think us mad, as all they can probably hear is two little girls arguing "Its my turn to sit in Bernards front seat"...."No its not, you sat in the front yesterday and Bernard wants me to sit in the front today"

Kids.........mad....the lot of them!

i'm 28 and i've driven mostly gassers all my driving life.. but as i've aged from my high school years.. and the way the gas prices are going up.. things changed in my perception... i'm now an owner of a diesel wagon, after selling my jap gasser.. and i'm happy with it..

just dont get me into driving fast.. coz that's the only problem i have with this wagon.. hehe... it's a non-turbo...

Interesting thread...

My 13 yr. old daughter learned something about hydrogen and whenever I talk diesel to her she quickly changes the subject to she wants a hydrogen car. I have to tell her that hydrogen is probably at least 10 years away so something else will have to provide the transportation for now.

"Car of the Future" by Gilly

Oh hell, JD, you're driving the Car of the Future, TODAY! It's a Diesel, it'll run on most anything! Kerosene, gasoline, Listerine, parts cleaner, tomato soup, roadkill, coal dust, dust mites, bunker oil, or beer. Guaranteed never to rust, bust or Co-llect dust, paint it grey and it floats. Hydrogen? Thhhhppppppptttttttt, childs play!

Talking Education needed.

Just need to show her your reasons and belief...
The gasser junk must have come from TV or school.
Time to home school...
