Heck, I'm 42, am not gray at all, don't drink coffe, don't wear a suit unless I realy, realy need to, don't read wall street journal, and I really don't wax and polish my car nearly as much as I should. (once in the 1.5 years I owned it.)

Two kinds of MBs..."rich people's cars" and "smart people's cars"...

The latter bought the older cars for the incredible build quality, durability, reliability, and personality. Cost not a big issue, but "smart" people appreciate the remarkable value they're getting.

Rich people buy MBs as fetish objects, to show off, or because someone has told them these cars are the "best" and they take that (largely dated) information at face value. (IMHO)

I have no silver hair, I rarely wear suits, I rarely read the wall street journal. The fact is, I'm a 17 year old guy who drives a W123 and sometimes a W126 diesel Benz because they are big, safe, good MPG getting cars. The W123 looks good too. I need to post some pics soon. I waxed it up on Sunday, it's still shining today.

No, that's a waste of sugar! Use the sugar for the latte 1/2 caffe/mocha delights us MB drivers love so much!

Talking

Not a hater...
In retrospect I wonder if it is that I'm just jealous. My VW for all its electrickery has sensors on its sensors and I use software and lap top and cable to trouble shoot. I'd seriously cosidering a transitioning into a 123 platform for a couple of reasons:

1) less keyboard - more hand tools
2) WVO two tank system compatibility
3) cult car with what seems to be adequate enthusiast support resource

...Lurking around these parts to learn more about the MB diesels. Just had to pop my head up when a broad generilization was made...I now recall that this is indeed a MB forum after all.....Save your sugar, I'm out of salt...Rob M

What kind of Toyota diesel do you have?

Just curious,,, I used to have an 81 Toyota diesel pickup. Those things are pretty scarce nowadays.

Ok I must be the only 19 year old alive that likes reading the Journal! No suits yet, I hate coffee, hopefully no gray hair for another 30 years.

thats my fault. i posted in response to some "political generalities" that had been posted. i deleted my post after realizing r leo was right and that the political tangent the thread was taking was inappropiate.

There is room for a six figure deposit in by bank account
and I wouldn't mind a couple thousand in stocks of a succesfull
company.

If you take this hint then I might color my hair silver , buy a couple
of nice Armani suits , I'll skip the latte(don't like it) and I will even
check up on my stocks in the wall street journal.
But the star polishing I'll leave to my butler, this way he has
something to keep him bussy.

Louis.

...that 5 pound bag of sugar in the gas tank...

I'd hold off on this octane/cetane booster until RedLine markets an insulin additive.
