Fuel tank material?

I have a 1983 300D Turbo. What material is my fuel tank made of? If steel, is it all stainless?

I'm not sure about your model but gas tanks (and filler tubes) are typically made of terne plate, which is regular sheet steel with a lead-rich coating. It has a dull-gray finish.
