Thumbs up Great DC Area shop!!

I took Alan Hamm's advice and took my MB to Mitch Carr's Auto Service in Kensington, Maryland today. It was a great experience with outstanding service. Hal, the service manager told me to tag along with Singh, the technician while he went over my car bumper to bumper, inside and out. I purchased the car two weeks ago, and this service was to establish a baseline. I learned alot in the hour and a half under the hood and under the car. I left with a laundry list of ten items that need attention but only two are pressing; shifter bushings are worn and rear air cells are inop.

While I was there, Hoop, a 13+ year MB Tech gave me a quick tour of the shop and before I left Singh took the air hose to all my drain vents and cleaned the sunroof tracks.

As I was leaving, Alan Hamm's Son showed up with his 85 300 modified with a pyrotechnics package in the rear brakes. Alan arrived shortly thereafter and I thanked him for the recomendation on Mitch Carr's.

I would highly recomend this shop to anyone.
Aaron

Glad it worked out for you. I was going to try to stop by anyway to meet you as the shop is 5 minutes from my home and my office. Turns out that I HAD to come by to pick my son up.

I figure they have good incentive to take care of me. I own 3 older Mercedes and I have referred several people to them.

Enjoy your car. It looked like a nice one! Perhaps I will see you there again (hopefully not too soon).

Keep in touch with this forum. I am thinking about trying to set up a DC Mercedes Diesel meet in the Spring.
