Thinking about an Ebay car & deisel conversion

I've been toying with bidding on the linked car and putting an old relaible 617 engine. I would be interested in whether or not it would fit. Any thoughts?

Point of note.......If the car was built as a gas car, you may not be able to convert it to diesel. If it qualifies as an antique, then its a lot easier. But thats a serious answer, but in this case its not a serious question.

I am sure it will fit if you slam them together hard enough. Maybe drop the engine in from the top of a three story building.

Too late, guys!!!

I used "buy-it-now" and sniped it out from under you.

I'll use it as my Wednesday car.

What would the point in buying that car to put an OM617 into it, it might gain a few MPH from the conversion, but not much more, plus I am sure the OM617 weighs more than the whole car

I did the payment calculator for it.

You would only need to come up with $20,500.00 per month for 72 months, putting down 10% of course.

That would buy quite a few parts for the SDL, that's for sure.

At that cost you could just have an entire new set of 300SD's and SDL's hand built for you. Handbuilt 617's and 603's installed too.

How true. Imagine the condition of both of these vehicles if I put one month of payments into them!
