You sure? Many polices have $500 or $1000 deductable but also have full glass coverage. The cost of full glass is very little more.

I have full glass coverage and assumed it required the $500 deductable, I'll have to look into it further.

@#*&%$ again!

Went back to Diamond today to get the rest of my leaks fixed.

NOW they tell me they'll need to pull the windshield back out.

The first time I went I had a new gasket in hand and they didn't want to put it in saying mine looked fine, which it does, but they took a hunk outta my origianl one. They tell me now I'll need that new gasket installed to be sure it doesn't leak.

After 7 trips back, we start all over. Whatever you guys do, make SURE they replace your gasket and don't let them talk you out of it.

If the new one leaks I'll quit being nice. By then I think I'll have the right to go off.

Cheers,

Bill

I think you had the right to go off the second return trip to fix the problem. I would give them One return trip to fix a leak, any more and I would sic my wife on them.

Joe I have full glass on mine and I don't have to pay the deductable. Is the windshield cracked? $600 must include a new seal.

See you were just saying how all of those chips are pissing you off the other day! Now you might get a nice new free windsheild!

I hope someone throws a brick threw mine.... If any members see mine please feel free to smash the windshield!

Sling shot and a piece of gravel, then blame it on a truck that kicked it up with its tires.

Well, I just took one step towards breaking bad with them. I called the home office and told them my plight. They're sending the district manager over there to find out whats going on and I've got a new windshield gasket ordered. As soon as the gasket comes in I'm going back.

I'll keep you all posted...they better do it right this time, the first time.

Cheers,

Bill

Back to diamond yesterday--not 100% happy...

Yeah, they pulled the windshield and installed my new gasket with goop around the part of the gasket that meets up with the body AND all the way around the glass side of the groove. We had a lot of rain yesterday and it didn't leak. Don't know how it could leak with 5 tubes of goop around it

If that wasn't bad enough, when I got home I found the aluminum corner pieces not locked in all the way and one was about to fall off. A little push put the one back but the other side still won't clip all the way down AND the aluminum strip is not locked all the way in at the bottom corners.

Their whole problem is due to the glass. The curve of the glass is not 100%.

Where is that building with the bricks falling off? I'll get an OEM and pay the price next time.

Cheers,

Bill

I had diamond put a new seal on my original MB window. (1976 300D 115) It leaks now. I noticed the leak on a road trip from VA to NY. It started to rain, and I noticed that my feet were getting wet. By the time I got to NY, the water fried most of my relays (glow plugs, cruise control, rear defroster, wipers - all this stuff worked before I redid my seal, none of this stuff works anymore due to water damage.)
