Oil Analysis and result

OK, I am going to try to post oil analysis results so that it comes out in something resembling columns. Bear with me, I dunno how this will turn out.

This is 4 84 240D w/ aprox 215k miles guesstimated.
5k on Delvac1 5w40
All measurements are in ppm except for the last 4 which are in percent.

Substance / PPM / Should be

Aluminum / 9 / 4
Chromium / 7 / 2
Iron / 126 / 35
Copper / 20 / 5
Lead / 7 / 4
Tin / 1 / 1
Molybdenum / 30 / 24
Nickel / 6 / 1
Manganese / 0 / 0
Silver / 0 / 0
Titanium / 0 / 0
Potassium / 442 / 6
Boron / 13 / 84
Silicon / 33 / 6
Sodium / 174 / 4
Calcium / 2821 / 2124
Magnesium / 303 / 392
Phosphorus / 1296 / 987
Zinc / 1223 / 1146
Barium / 2 / 1
Fuel / <0.5% / <2%
Antifreeze / 0.35% / 0
Water / 0 / <0.1
Insolubles / 0.5 / <0.8

As you can see, high wear metals and vry high potassium and sodium which are components of antifreeze. The 0.35% of antifreeze works out to about 1/2 cup in 6qt. The high silicon is probably a leak around the air cleaner.

So, Here's what we found:

See the rust and pitting around the #3 cylinder. This has been leaking for a long time. Cracks in the head probably means that it was run hot at some time in the last 20 years.

Edit: Sorry, columns didn't work but hopefully you can figure it out.
