Testing lifters in w124

Could anyone let me know how to check lifters,
or to figure out diference in betwen good & bad?
Should the midle part of the lifter be moved easily
by pressing it down with thumb?
1987 300td. Thanks.

If the lifter pushes down under moderate pressure from a scredriver, etc, it's bad. Should be quite stiff.
