81'sd or 85'sd
 

why is the 85 a better car or is the same. would like to know somethings that an 81 would be a disadvantage to an 85 sd

85 has some parts, such as turbo and transmission, that are unique to that year. They may work better, but they're harder to find and more expensive when the break. But now that we're some 20 years on, CONDITION is much more important than year. Always by the car that is in the best condition you can afford.

My 85' has anti-lock brakes that the 81' doesn't and that goes a long way . . ., no wait . . . maybe that should be a short way.

ABS was an option starting in 1984 on the SD.. airbag in 1985. Not all 84-85 SD's will have ABS/airbag.
