Form Rabber eround expansion valve
What's the form rubber around the AC expansion valve (under the dash) for. Mine is 50% disintergrated. If really needed, can I just buy new form rubber and wrap around it, (1981 300SD).
Thanks. |

Any insulating foam that will fit will work, it's there to keep condensation from dripping on the floor.

Could also be the gunky tube falling apart above the glove box that is used by the ACC system.

126 835 06 40 part # for the foam "clamshell" around the expansion valve.
In the past, I've used a sponge cut to fit and with apartial "split" in it, and it seemed to work just as well. Lietuviai, most folks use water pipe insulation foam tubes that you get from places like Home Depot.
