FS: Neat In-Line Diesel Heater Thingie I Found
I was cleaning out the shop the other day and found this buried. Since we are an all gasser family now (we used to be all diesel) I thought I'd offer it up here to the diesel faithful before I put it up on eBay. It's from the dealership and has never been used. Comes w/ Mercedes installation instructions. It goes in-line somehow, not in the tank.
Make me an offer! -Matt-

I saw one of these on ebay a few months ago. I believe it went around $45+shipping.
I really wanted the one on ebay but I missed the final bid by $10. Even so, since I'm converting the 240D, I'll have the tranny cooler lines to do the same function w/o electricity. Good luck. |

Would you be willing to post the 'very detailed installation instructions'? Those of us contemplating WVO heaters would be interested in where Mercedes recommends this device be plumbed in...

First bidder, (if going on to win the auction) will recieve a Bonus Mystery Mercedes Part!!!!! (I certainly have enough of those around...random stuff that I know came off a Benz, but God only knows which model/year )
The instructions state that you should install it as close to the fuel filter as poss (duh) and that you should tap into the coolant hose that goes to the heater core. This way, apparently, you can leave it on all year and it won't heat your fuel unless the heat is on. A bunch of pics to show you where and how to do it all and a detailed list of how much/size hose/lines and how many clamps/bolts/clips you will need etc. Feel free to ask about anything else that you're curious about! -Matt-

I just take one of those magnetic oil pan heaters, and stick it on the fuel filter, this makes the fuel nice anc warm
