Block Heater Cord... ?

Is the block heater cord connection a standard adapter socket or is it a proprietary mercedes special made adapter... If it is a standard type of electrical socket, I could buy the socket and make my own since I have tons of 3 prong power cords... Thanks!... Indy

The block heater has two pins that stick out and engage two sockets in the cord. I don't believe that this configuration is a standard where you could just go out and buy the plug with the sockets in it.

Mine has no metal ring at the heater end like the other photo, proof certain that there are different styles of block heaters out there.
Smitty's sells one for $9.83 that fits several of the stock heaters I have. see: http://www.sasponline.com
