When a 300D's valves are adjusted, is it "customary" to also adjust the

timing chain?

Mercedes dealers used to have available a list of stuff that would be perhaps be performed at each "service" for 123 diesels...anybody still have that list?

The chain is 'self-adjusting'...I would however, check for excessive elongation.
