w116 door seals

Does the door panel have to come off to install new door seals? On the front of the door, by the hinges, there is a white plastic piece and it looks like it has maybe 3 tabs holding it on? How does that piece come off? Does it just pry off? Or do you need to have access inside the door? I tried briefly pulling on it, but it didn't come loose and I did not want to break anything. I think there was also one more further down the front of the door.
Thanks
David

Never had to pull my door panels when I did mine. Not that I remember anyway.

Do they just fit into the "groove", so I assume no adhesive, etc. Just pull the old one off and stick the new one in? Yes, I know, I'm obsessive compulsive.
Thanks
David

No, there are places you will need weatherstrip adheasive for, it will be ovious where those are and salvage the little plastic clips that hold it on in places as you WILL need them.
