For the W123, you also have the option of getting round E-code lights, which are tremendously better than the sealed beams. They don't look as cool but the cost is only ~$100. If you don't need fogs, you can add additional high beams like Jaime did (see link below). If you can get 123 Depo/TCY lights cheap enough though, that would look really nice. (BTW, I agree with your theory!)

I have the round E-codes on my 123 with "plus 50" bulbs from Dan Stern. Works great!

You additionally have this option on the W126 from '81-'85. You can get excellent Hella rectangular headlamps for about $100. for the pair from:

Found some...

On the parts classifieds I found some new 124 Bosch euro lights with vacuum control. 450 each.

Now I just got to get the connectors, and the adjuster... I missed this one on eBay...it sold for 22.75. Ugh!

Anyone got an idea where I cold find another one?

Tyc Lights

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I had time to visit the Forum. We use to handle the TYC lights. They are not a quality light. If you want cheap, then this is it. We no longer handle them. Hella or Bosch is the best way to go.

where to find connectors for lights

Try this:
Mercantile Europarts 6757 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33144
(305) 266-0276

They have the connector (a one piece fold-over thing that replacers the original two piece snap-together thing) and the pins. They MAY have the vacuum adjusters.

My DEPO headlights may not be as good as Bosch or Halla or Cibie, but they cost half as much and I frankly can't see how anyone could tell the difference from over 4 inches away. that extra 4 inches will cost you $100 per inch.

The 6-pin connectors are part number 011-545-50-28, available from any Mercedes dealer for a couple bucks each. They're the same as the tail light connectors.. For a vacuum adjust setup, try contacting 'omegabenz' or 'speedy300Dturbo' on this forum. Or look up the part numbers in the URL I posted earlier and try to order them direct - they're not that expensive. You could just wait and install the vacuum setup later, and look for another cheap eBay deal!
