Question dash board indicator lights 85 300D

I suddenly have a yellow light blinking occasionally just left of the glow plug light. It does not have any markings. I did just replace the alternator will check if it's charging or properly or not this weekend. Can anyone tell me what is blinking light could be? Because it has no discernable marking, I'm at a loss. This is an 85 300D California car. I did a search, but could'nt find anything related to this question. Just some history, this light had never worked until I had the steering lock replaced a couple of weeks ago. That's when the alternator also went dead and I decided to take matters into my own hands and replaced it myself.

occasionally flashing yellow lamp on dash

The above mentioned lamp probably will illuminate more frequently when raining. This is the front brake pad sensor warning lamp. Your pads probably STILL have some meat on them at this point. That is why it is a "warning"...
Easy repair, however, do replace the sensors with the pads.
The rotors may be due for replacement.
This is an opportune time to clean and repack the front wheel bearings.
Good luck,
spo out

blinking light

Isn't the pad wear indicator on the left side just right of the battery light? The one with the semi-circles arount it? The one I'm referring to is on the right side, just left of the glow light. Strange thing is, I know the pads are in need of replacing, yet the wear indicator light only comes on when you first turn the ignition. Could this bulb be in the wrong spot? How do I know which wire goes to the brake wear indicator?
