What's it worth (84' 300SD)?

I am new to the forum so first I will say THANKS for all the info. I have a question posted on the TECH forum already. I have an excellent condition 1984 300SD (126) with 151,500 original miles. My father was the original owner and kept 80-90% of the maintenance records (all dealership). I obtained the car at about 135,000. It was garage kept until exactly 3 years ago, and I have kept it double covered when not driving it. Everything on the car is fully functional down to the power antenna and original stereo (the alarm works but the control module was malfunctioning so I removed it and have not replaced it). I have done regular maintenance myself as well as climate control work (vacuum elements) to make all the flaps work right. New a/c compressor and related (converted to r134), new brakes (discs and pads), new tires(Michelins) in 7/03 w/approx. 140,000 miles. The car looks good and runs great (better since I've owned it). The title is clear and in my name, I have all the original books (owners manual, service books, dealer locator books) the repair CD, even the dealer cards. I hate to part with it but I have fallen into some financial problems (medical bills) and if I can get enough for it I am willing to sell it. So the big question, WHAT IS IT WORTH?

Only what someone is willing to pay for it... sounds like crap I know. But think about it. If it's paid for, runs like a top, and all, why not just keep it?

Agree completely with Webwench...sounds like a car in great shape, so she'll probably be out of my price range, but doesn't mean I can't drool

If you're on the West Coast, I'm gonna cry...

(I'm probably kidding, but, you know, I have had my eye on another 84 SD with low miles that may not ever be for sale, so my resistance is weak...)

Tough question... It sounds like a very nice car and I'd even be interested in it since I sold the SDL...

I'd like a nice SD, but I'm on a budget and limited to about $2000 for a car.

I will try to answer the questions I can remember. I live in Houston, TX. I am not an E-bay person, in fact the car is not even on the market yet. I am not familiar with the workings of E-bay; I was going to list it in the Houston newspaper and on Autotrader.com but I am not sure what to ask. I have a 97' Nissan truck, so the 300SD is not my only transportation. I am only interested in selling if I can get enough to make it worth my while, otherwise I will keep it. Just as a starting point I was thinking around $5000-5500? I was hoping there might be some input out there from a non-buyer. I have pictures but they are too large for this site. For anyone totally interested or willing to help me with an estimated value, I would thankfully e-mail the pictures to you.
