Would a 280E 150mph speedometer change out qand work in an 85 300D?

no. the differential ratios are very different. 3.58 v. 2.88 i think

i am going to change the differential in my '80 turbo coupe (was 280ce)
to one out of an '84 turbo. am thinking of trying to keep the 280 speedo face plate.
