Where to test Injectors for OM606 in CT?

Does anyone know what locations will service the injectors for an OM606?

I spoke with my indy and they don't work on them there. Haven't come across it yet. Stated that they probably need to be serviced at a Bosch location that handles diesel equipment. Makes sense. I found a Bosch location in Southington about two years prior and was discouraged by their service. Had a simply leak from the crush copper washers on top of the IP and the guy told me I need my IP rebuilt.

Researching removal of the injectors on AllData seems straight forward. It's a matter of a service location to spray test my injectors and replace the nozzles and whatever else to bring them to spec. The colder it gets the more the engine sounds like marbles. Sometimes it will nail at highway speeds at normal operating temperature.

Today was nice and warm and she ran great. It was just over 50 degrees :-)

Also I'm confused as to what socket would be required to unscrew the injector from the head. In addition there is a heat shield "washer" looking thing that separates the injector from the head that I am aware of that would need to be replaced upon re-installment. Anything I have missed?

Get your phone book and look under 'fuel injecton service', 'Diesel fuel filter', 'Diesel engine service', etc. There should be dozens of such places within 25 miles of you. Check with your local MB dealer. Most car dealerships don't do their own injection work. Check with equipment repair and rental places. Large truck repair companies.

Their is a real good Bosch shop on the post road in New Haven. I will have to get their name from my dad. They are doing my injectors and will probably do W140 S600's injectors when he pulls them this winter. They charge $10 to test them and are a little expensive to get rebuilds from but do a good job and will stand behind their work.
