Seriously, if you are going to store it for a long time I would not mount it on an engine stand. Engine stands are meant for putting the engine at a good working height and allowing rotation of engine. Remember, it WILL NOT fall off the floor. All my heavy stuff is on the floor.

Clean it! Fix what you want. Then go to a shipping store. And buy plastic wrap. WD40 or better spray oil the engine,then plastic wrap it. Leaving hole to crank, so you can turn it over ever six month's. Then build a wooden crate with 4x4 skids, and store it on the ground or a strong rack. Charlie |
