EAS Fine Print!!!

There was a thread a while back about EAS price vs. MercedesShop price. Well, whatever the price difference customer service is worth the cost! I will never use EAS again! Some of you may like EAS and I don't want to make enemies, so I will just say "REAL BAD EXPERIENCE with web site (better read the fine print and pay attention to shipping info on the parts description pages because that is the only time you will see it). And although the employees were very pleasant, their policies are not customer friendly at all! They are unable to and unwilling to do anything once you have placed an order (and I do not mean shipped, I mean placed). I have not had a situation like this with MercedesShop so I do not know there policy, but the other 2 web companies I have used are able and willing to edit or cancel orders as long as they have not shipped (obviously). Just my opinion about EAS!

I don't remember that thread, but since you brought it up I want to jump in. If you go through the Worldpac interface on the Fastlane site, they might not always have the lowest price. However, the price you see online is not necessarily "THE" price. If something is less expensive somewhere else, then call Phil (Fastlane) and ask about it. He has much more flexibility when you call than when you submit orders online. I ordered stuff yesterday and again today and he was able to beat the prices shown online. In fact Phil even told me he likes to pit multiple suppliers against one another to see who does the best. It's a game.

OK, now Phil's phone will be ringing off the hook. :D

That is true about EAS. I had to deal with them when I tried to stop a starter from being sent. Oh well, I guess the money you save in the long run pays off for me. I ordered about 12 times from them and everytime I saved a bundle of money.....it was only once that I had to deal with that starter issue but it was promptly resolved and the people running the site were nice.

I'm sure there will be a ton of people saying "buy from fastlane it supports the forum." I agree with that sometimes as well. If I'm placing a small order I'll try to go through phil but if I have an order over 100 bucks I'd way rather use EAS since I'm probably going to save about 15 percent and I will get it just as fast (next day).
