What the lady at the drive through told me today.... crazy lady :)

I pulled up to the drive through at Burger King today just to get a quick snack since I was running out of time during lunch. Anyway, I place my order and pull up to the window and the first thing the lady tells me is: "Next time you pull up and place an order turn off your engine cause it hurts my ears when I'm taking an order." I thought she was joking or something but I think she was dead serious. My 240D is just an ordinary little diesel that does not make any excessive noises that should not be there.

It wasn't that bad but it pissed me off the way she said it with her little attitude and the neck going side to side as she's trying to council me. If the car engines were hurting her ears, maybe she should find a job that requires more intellectual skill and apply it to something else.

stupid lady

I have had that happen at least 5-6 times in my 300D. Two times at a bank drive in teller. Never in my SDL.

I am sure it is annoying on the other end to hear nothing but clatter. They just don't understand diesel.

Since we are increasingly becoming a nation of service, one would think that person would take her role for what it is . . . serving the public. Period. Nearly all my life I have worked in that capacity and have rarely understood how and why people with dour attitudes think it is a place they belong. On the otherhand, being a tax assessor rather than a person at the drive-thru, I guess the pay scale may have something to do with it. When last serving the citizens, I thanked them every day for the opportunity to earn what I earned and served them 100%.

Just floor it as you pull out,
this way she has the smell to go
with the sound.

Also, next time, revv your engine,
the louder she yells the more you
revv the engine.

Louis.

Oh no she didn't. Hell what you really need to do is borrow a Dodge 2500 with a diesel cummins and go back tomorrow and just lay down on it when you place and order, then kill the engine out of your on good heart. Then i'd pull up to the window, smile, pay and ease up about 12 feet and then just blow smoke up her ... and then ease on down the road..

On second thought, don't listen to me, you might get in trouble.

Most service people get paid squat and have to put up with all sorts of people. I had a 240D and I can imagine the klatter coming throught those tinny sounding headphones.

Give her a break, sheesh!
