85 300D Trunk Lock

I tired to search this but didnít find an answer.
I recently bought a 85 300D, the car does not have a trunk lock cylinder
meaning there is no tumbler to insert a key in.
But I was always able to push the chrome sleeve or lock cylinder holder in and the trunk would pop open, until now. I have used the square key to
lock and unlock the driverís door, then push the button in at the trunk, nothing happens. Is there some thing I can use to insert in the lock cylinder sleeve to pop the trunk? Any ideas?

If you can fit something in to push straight forward, just straight in, it should pop open. Maybe you can wiggle the remains of the lock to access the release. You will never get it by force, without damage (don't ask me how I know)
it should gently pop, when you are on the right area.
I used to do mine with a flat blade b4 I replaced the lock.
