Speaking of strang things with oil, here is one.

After switching over to the 0w-40 Mobil 1 Euro my wife's car has stopped the blue puff of smoke in the mornings when started. I had assumed the smoke was from valve seals leaking oil past them into the cylinders, but what ever was the cause it no longer does the puff of blue smoke in the morning.

Good buy @ AAP:

I was in Advance Auto Part and noticed they have a special going on M1 TurboDiesel Truck 5W40 for $4.98 per qt. Special runs thru the end of this month. I suspect this is the CI-4+ product. I didn't actually read the bottle.

AAP assigns Part Number 98HM64 to this product. I can't say I've ever seen this oil at my local store. There were 6 qts. on the shelf...may have been more in the back. This is a good price for those needing oil.
