Hi,

I have just aquired a 1990 300D 2.5 with the 602.96 engine. I have done a lot of searches looking for the correct way to disable the EGR on this model but I can't seem to find any info. I know this was posted before, can some one please provide a link or tell me how it's done. Also is it true that there is no Alda adjustment for this model?? Please advise.

What did you search on?

I searched on "EGR disable" and found the answer to your question in about 15 seconds. Sorry, I'm having a bad morning.

The short answer is that its more difficult to disable the EGR on the 2.5 turbo since the computer system will detect that the EGR is no longer in play and it will eliminate the boost. I do not know this for a fact, I got this informantion from the above mentioned search.

There is an ALDA on your car and it's adjustable in the same way all ALDA's are.
