Thumbs up Tiny Tach

Below is a link to a company that I have orded a tach for my 240D from. The transducer mounts to any injector line and comes with 8 feet of connecting wire. The reading unit is 1.5 inch by 3 inches.
Tiny Tach
Engine RPM to 19,990.
Correct reading regardless of the number of cylinders.
Displays RPM when engine is running.
Automatically displays run-time hours when engine is shut off (and power is still on).
A low cost method of keeping track of engine performance.
Standard wire length is 8 feet.
Accurate means of setting exact engine RPM for proper operation of diesel engines.
Requires vehicle power or external 9 volt transistor battery.
(Replace 9 volt battery only once per year.)
Has job timer and 2 service timers.

How did the tach work out for ya?

Isn't it too slow for using for shift points on a 240?

The 240D really needs a tach for info on were to cruise or where your power is at the moment, just as the 300D's.

Now for the bad news, I sold the 240D when I got the Dodge magnum and had not installed it but instead left it to the new owner to install. Last I time I spoke with the new owner Jack, I forgot to ask if he ever installed the tach.

Man I have wished several times that I had not sold that car, she was a real sweetie and I miss her.

Nice to see you are still out there, OldNavy.

Ever consider getting another MB? I'd like to get a stablemate for my 240D some day, but my garage is only so big, and the wife's car has to go in it.

Yes, every day. But it will probably be a MB 3L V6 turbo diesel with a cheap a$$ Dodge body slung on top.

Anyone notice it updates only once every 2.5 seconds? How annoying would that be?
