Smoked Tail Lights
1 Attachment(s)
Ive looked and Looked, anyone know where I can find a set of these?
|
why??
why would you do that to a Mercedes??
|
Those are illegal in all 50 states if they reduce the light or the ability of the lens to reflect light. Neighbor kid got hit in the rearend by local Dr. in his S class MB. Kids dad lost the law suit and kids insurance refused to pay for damage to cars because of illegal covers on the lights (kid was ticked for them front & rear), improper turn. They ended up with new mortgage on a home they had just payed off 2 years before, kid lost his PU and dad lost his bass boat. So beware when you modify a car that you are doing things that are legal, otherwise it might come back to bite you.

Perhaps another forum site would have an answer, like a non-mercedesshop.com site. Don't let the door hit you...never mind. I jest. Really, I've never seen them aside from the photo. |
Performance Products sells smoked lenses for W124s and W201s, perhaps they have them for W140s as well. Check them out and see. Although you may not after what's been said, but hey! It's YOUR car.

One "smoked" tail light is enough for me. :D

see if this site has the ones you need. if not just go google it and you are bound to find them or check out ebay since they always have something that you are looking for.

They have "clear" rear tail lights for the W126's. They get rid of the yellow and the tailight is just white and red, you have to use yellow bulbs. I have not decided on whether I like them or not. I think on a dark W126 they would look clean but I'm not sold.
