Drain coolant while changing thermostat on 92 300D 2.5 ?
When I changed the thermostat on my 83 240D I did not take out the coolant. I just unscrewed the cap for the thermostat and let a few cups of coolant just run (not too much). Will it be the same for a 92 300D ? I just don't want to drain the coolant with the temps being so low cause I hate being outside.
Any advice ? Thanks

Changing the thermostat on a W124 is a lot more work than on a W123. You don't have to drain the coolant first, but more coolant will come out because the thermostat is lower than on the W123. It's not something I'd want to do without a garage, especially in the winter.
