Thanks for the review!

MarkM,

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent write up and description on this car. I had seen it on *bay, was not considering it, just watching it for a “value check”. Your detailed write up really closes the story on this one. Not something that happens very often.

Happy Holidays,

Clay

PS: Up above $2K now. I hope the bidders know what they are getting into. If they have to add a few hundred to get it shipped they may be upset with Santa when it arrives. Who knows, it may be just the car they are looking for.

I believe each of these cars are the final production year for that model.

There's one of these in a Portland used car lot for $1250 and it looks like it's in better shape than this one based on the description. Over a month has gone by and it's still in the lot.

"Due to the nature of the expensive and highly sensitive performance improvements, this vehicle may be test-driven to be appreciated. Only a select few individuals will be capable of appreciating the performance and driving characteristics of this automobile. It has been rated as the 'fastest production 4-door sedan allowed for sale in the US . . . '

Easily exceeding 35mpg during extensive road tests, this vehicle's engine and suspension have been conditioned to BETTER THAN ORIGINAL condition. The classic lines and features of the '87 S-Class are unmistakable. This vehicle is offered as INVESTMENT-GRADE, BUY-to-HOLD."

This just cracks me up.

Scott

Are you sure that you are one of the select few individuals who will be capable of appreciating the performance and driving characteristics of this automobile?
