Need to remove tank strainer.

In the process of removing the tank strainer on the '82 Euro 240D and need to know the best way to get out the large nut holding the strainer in. I've already removed the line and was about to try with a pair of channel locks but wanted to get some input before I did that.

Thanks,
Chris

Settle10,

Mine came out by turning the 17MM (I think) nut on the fuel line. Worth giving it a try.

Settle10, you really should use the search and see what all tips have already been posted on this... lots of good info.... those will include the ' prepare for mess' and probably the exact sizes of the stuff you will want to replace....
