Heat ain't cheap

Your car has no monovalve, it has the mega-expensive (compared to a monovalve) servo. Sorry.

No wonder I couldn't find a part listing for a monovalve. I was even looking for german to english translation in case it was called a schecktonluugen or something.

Winters are pretty short here in Orlando, thankfully! I guess I'll get my indie to check it out, maybe something simple.

Congrats Roger. We will need pictures of your new family member. Enjoy the car, and embrace the repairs. What else can we do?

Congrats on purchasing one of the best MBs ever built! I have two 123s, and they're nice, but I prefer my 116 in almost every way.

You most likely need a servo. Without it, you'll have no heat, and no AC in the summer.

They are absurdly expensive from the dealer. Instead, I'd recommend one of the rebuilds that George Murphy does....he guarantees them, and he replaces the crack-prone plastic outer case with his own machined aluminum version. PM or e-mail me and I can give you contact info for him.

Mike
