How long can a car sit idle before it's a problem?

Crazy question, and it's vague enough I'm not sure how to run a decent thread search for it.

My 300D has been sitting outside 'at the shop' for over a month without being started or run. It's not insanely cold here in Georgia, but it has been getting down into the twenties at night. So, when I go to pick it up, likely this week, should I anticipate problems starting it, beyond the battery maybe needing a jump?

And in general. how long is too long for a diesel to sit? Six weeks? Six months? :)

Not to hyjack WW, but why has your car been in the shop?

If everything is in good shape it should start no problem. You will know if you have a leaky injector after a month. Last winter when I wasn't driving the SDL it would sit for a month or two covered in snow at below zero temps. On warm days when I was working on it she would start right up.

mespe, hatterasguy, thanks for the likely good news! I was picturing how dumb I'd feel if I had to get it towed to my house :o :P

JimmyL, there was a laundry list of items to be worked, including shocks in front, work on a rusty exhaust system, new seat springs and stuffing on the drivers' side, replace a leaky waterpump, and a few smaller items.
