Eh - I was't tryin to jump in anyone's stuff. I've never rebuilt an engine - except model engines (the R/C kind) and the odd lawnmower. I feel I could do it or have it done - but I'd much rather have it done from either two donor vehicles or a donor power plant.

My problem isn't skill - it's living in a friggin apt. I hate it but that's pretty much the norm here. If I had a house I could afford I'd have a 40 minute + commute every day. As it is I have a 4 minute commute. Hard to argue against that - esp considering the IQ's of some of the drivers here...

If it was a manual 240 I'd already own it.

BTW - I'm considering building the engine in the apt. LoL. Wouldn't that be hillarious? "It's just a model engine - a model of a marine diesel - yeah... that's it..."

Where is "here"? There may be some others on this site that would be interested in looking at the car to make sure we don't lead you wrong.
