Brand new W123 forum

I like to check out a lot of message boards, primarily those that focus on W126s, W123s, and diesels. Well, I found a new message board forum especially dedicated to the W123. It started up late last month, and has 15 members so far. Check it out...

This reply is in responce to a PM I got about my above post, saying it is uncalled for.

Putting name calling aside now, I'll back up my gruffness in my previous post. I am assuming this is bunk and HTboy is advertising his or his friends new MB123 website.

IMHO Hometownboy should delete the whole thread. Would you folk walk into Wal-Mart’s Auto section and proudly announce/advertise, hand out flyers etc. to all around you that you want everyone there to go visit your/your friends new auto parts store? NO, I bet you would not...... (all Wal-Mart joks aside for the moment) Why not?, because it is unethical and is no different than STEALING. A smart manager would immediately remove him from Wal-Mart and ban him from returning. As a moderator of a forum I would do the same thing with this thread he started. As a business owner if he did this I would kick him out the door so fast he wouldn't know what happend.

To be honest I think HTboy owes the moderator of this forum an apology for his unethical behavior. He is IMHO stealing, Me; I’m just yelling at the theif.

"HUH ?" is correct....
Coachgeo has ( again ) gone overboard....
I don't see any advertising on that site...
Where was the outcry when Thomaspin's site was recommended ?
Where was the outcry when Richard Easley's site was recommended ?
How about these newly posted sites ?

Maybe we need to make up a ' Coachgeo traslation dictionary'... was he really a Teacher up north ? Was he sent packing due to this same kind of overwrought outbursts in the classroom ?

caugh = cough
responce = response

"saw you pushing this on another 123 forum."
What were YOU doing looking at another forum ? That is the same thing as adultery ! You are two timing the owners of THIS forum and wasting energy that should be used to post good info HERE !
Opps....Looks like I have caught what Coachgeo has... LOL

ok......... someone needs to take a chill pill. If their is something you don't like, there are better ways of handling it then name calling and a rage based post.

There is a difference between WalMart and MercedesShop. WalMart sells a product and a competing retailer would take business away from WalMart.

In the case of these forums, we post knowledge and information on the forum with the hope of helping others who may benefit from this knowledge. Posting the knowledge on this forum, or another forum, simply serves the general purpose of dissemenating this knowlege to more people. MercedesShop is not harmed by posts to another forum. There is no theft of product or service from MercedesShop.

As such, the post by HTboy is entirely proper and, IMHO, there is no unethical behavior and, therefore, no reason for an apology.

I thought about joining, but I don't think iam going to get anywhere with it. All the info I need is right here at mercedesshop.com, I don't think this diesel forum will ever be topped, also having everybody in one place is much better than being spread out everywhere, sorry don't mean to offend anyone, it's just my 2 bits. BTW how many members are on this diesel forum?

Smile Hmmm.

Thank you.
I am to busy for more forums.
As you should know, I own a W126.
Eighteen car clubs keep me fully occupied.

Coachgeo, I will respond to your comment in a dignified and respectable manner. These forums are not businesses, but they are sources of information, automotive libraries you could call them, and by telling about a new forum, I am in no way "advertising" my "friend's" new message boards, just passing along information about a new board, I'm not siphoning traffic away from here. You can apologize now and have this thread locked, or, the moderator can deal with you in the correct manner for your comments (as well as the lie in which you said that I "pushed" the new forum on another W123 forum as well) which were uncalled for.

I put IMHO (In My Humble Opinion) into my comments for a reason. Cause they are MHO. This board belongs to us the readers and Fastlane, and apparently advertising/pimping another MB123 forum in most of yalls opinion is not an issue so Ill shut ma little mouth. oops I mean big mouth

Majority of the boards I have been part on frown HEAVLY on pimping other boards that are on the same topic. My comments were real light compared the hashing I have seen for this. Have even seen life time bans for that action
