What do you call these parts??
Greetings all,
Another question for you experienced M-B o'philes prompted by the lack of a body service manual......... What is the correct name for the 2 plastic air intake screens on the cowl of a 123,the ones under the wipers that serve as the intake for fresh air? The passenger side one is broken and the driver's side is held together with what appears to be the oversized and pedestrian oozing from a hot glue gun, truly a disturbing state of affairs for an otherwise well maintained car. Dealer part? scrapyard fodder or ebay find?

Those things get brittle with age. Try calling Fastlane.

Thanks my friend, I'm afraid you credit me with more perception and experience than I possess. What is the number for this Fastlane?

Chrome or PLastic
Which type do you have. One is a black plastic and the other looks like a metal piece. If you can't find them, let me know and I will price a couple of them for you...Southwestern Indiana...Jim

FastLane can be reached by checking box at top of this page.
The EPC refers to them as At least that what it appears, to me. The parts list says only available in pairs. Hope that helps some. Haven't seen them on ebay; probably overpriced at dealer...wrecker's may be best if a good pair can be found.
