Just to rub it in...

Today during about a hour of driving around running errands on the inner east side of Portland, I saw without any effort:

- At least a dozen W123s
- Half a dozen W126s
- Two W115s
- Three W201s, one of which was a sweet 2.3-16 (bright red, lowered, low-profile tires)
- Half a dozen E28 BMWs (528e's and 535i's---no 524td's, but I know two people here who have those)
- Half a dozen E30 BMWs (mostly 325i's)
- Countless air-cooled VWs (mostly bugs and microbuses, but one Squareback and one Thing)
- A Peugeot 405 Mi16
- A Datsun 2000 roadster

Yup, sure are a lot of cool old cars here in the Northwest. :D

Right on, Alex.

One trip to MBI Motors at 13th & SE Hawthorne confirms the "oldies" running around Portland. That's their business -- keeping the 111s, 108/109s, 114-115, 123, 126, 124, 201s running. It's 90% of their business.

Cheers,
Gerry

Well, I could have just driven by MBI and listed the cars in their lot... but that seemed like cheating! :D
