In a basement.

This one was sitting in a basement since 1992.

I bought it after some serious negotiating, that involved some yelling and screaming, but after it was over I had a title and keys.

I bought this car and it did have some minor stone chips. Herbert never said that it did not. He just checked the body panels for bondo. I drove this car from Memphs to Seattle. 5000 miles with no problems. Sure there some things to address but this a great car. I also have a 97 with no turbo which I also love but it is short on power. A little better milage though. If you keep these cars under 80 they will get the stated milage.

If herb had gotten off his ass and decided to sell that a month and a half ago, I would have been a serious contender for it.

I am glad he did not. I bought this car for much less than all you guys think.

Better check the odometer out; sounds like it's running at half speed (unless you went through Juneau) ... Looks like a great car - good luck!

Was the egr working then? When John got the car he went through one heck of a battle to get it working. The car had no power.
Now I guess the front wheel bearings are shot.

He got a good price but it wasn't without its problems. I bet that EGR problem would have cost well over $1k if not $2k for a dealer to track it down.

Hattie, this is not John's vehicle.

This one was the second E300TD that he had in the same color with almost the same mileage (about 160K). The first one sold for just under $20K. This one sold for $14.5K.

Herb was stunned by this one.
