Updated axle flange for new axles in 116
 

All,
Can anyone tell me what vehicles would have the updated hub flange (listed on Fastlane as #126 350 18 45 flange) that is necessary to use the new axles on a 116 ('79 300SD)? I can't find axles for this car without going to the updated style, which I can buy from Fastlane. However, their flanges are something like $350/side, which I really can't afford, so I'd like to acquire some from a parts car. Will the 123's have this hub flange? I've tried cross-referencing on Fastlane, but they quote a different type of parts number (Kxxx-xxxx) for the hub flanges they sell.

I'm sure the older style homokenetic half shafts are still available. I'd call Phil at FastLane and ask him when he'll get them in. I know they're available from several rebuilding sources. Check search and there will be mention of some of the better places.

Thanks-- I'll give him a call. I've searched and searched, but all the replacement axle threads seem to be about 123s. I appreciate the lead, though.
